GAB Guest at Fairview Elementary School.

Fairview Elementary School
Milwaukee, WI
November 29, 2018

Fairview is “on-fire” with their positive initiative to address the issue of bullying. To begin their initiative, they asked GAB to make a presentation to students and parents Thursday night November 29. What a wonderful reception for GAB! GAB brought two of their Peer Ambassadors from Greendale High School Ariel Griffin and Tylee Seebantz to describe their experience with GAB and how being a Peer Ambassador has positively impacted their lives.

GAB speaker Michael Turner challenged the students and parents to make their school better by being Upstanders for others and an Upstander for the good and positive principles that Fairview Elementary strives to implement. Michael said that the success of our society rests on our young students who someday will have leadership roles in our communities. “These leadership roles start now at Fairview” said Michael.

Linda Lee and James Dean spoke of the importance of being an Upstander because the bullying will stop almost all of the time within 10 seconds if a bystander becomes and Upstander in a non-threatening way.

Thank you Andy and Liliana for inviting GAB to your school….
