GAB Peer Ambassadors Shine in Madison at the 2017 Wisconsin Association of Student Councils State Jam<\/strong><\/p>\n Generations Against Bullying (GAB) was invited back to make two, one-hour presentations at the Wisconsin Association of Student Councils “State Jam” at the Madison Marriott West Conference Center, in Madison, WI on May 7, 2017.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat” background_size=”initial”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left” border_style=”solid” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat” background_size=”initial” _builder_version=”3.0.66″]<\/p>\n This 2-day event features middle school student councils from around the State of Wisconsin to hear a variety of leadership presentations. The theme of this year\u2019s convention was \u201cSaving the World One Leader at a Time\u201d<\/em>. This theme fit perfectly with GAB\u2019s emphasis on creating upstanders to combat the epidemic of bullying.<\/p>\n It takes a leader with courage to become an upstander. <\/strong> <\/p>\n Bullycide (suicide as a direct result of bullying) is one of the leading causes of death in our middle school age students. So, the \u201cSaving the World..,\u201d<\/em> theme was an excellent segue for our Peer presentations. <\/p>\n Peer Amabssadors; Diana Victory, Noor Fleifel<\/a>, Ariel Griffin<\/a>, Tess Schaefer<\/a>, and Anina Lee<\/a>, lead two, 1-hour breakout groups with thought provoking videos and interactive activities.
