Wow! What a great way to end the year for our Peer Ambassadors. They have been working hard the whole semester to get out the upstander message. Several new prospective members were introduced. emphasis and awareness on the things I was involved in at Greendale High School. I wore a Teal cord that represented my involvement with Generations against Bullying (GAB). I wore that cord with pride because it represented to my classmates, friends and families that I was an \u201cUpstander\u201d and proud to be one. Although the information regarding what each colored cord stood for was written in our graduation program, I was still asked what each cord stood for. I would always explain my teal one first, \u201cit means that I am an \u2018Upstander,\u2019 a peer ambassador who works with kids, teaching staff, and the community on solutions to putting an end to bullying.\u201d I was honored to have had my hard work with GAB be recognized through the wearing of the teal cord so everyone will see. Now I will always be reminded of my goal to help end bullying everything time I think of my graduation day.\u201d<\/p>\n

I attended the Zumba fundraiser event for GAB. I showed up expecting to sit at a booth and sign people in. But I couldn\u2019t have been more wrong. I and the other peer ambassadors were…<\/p>\n

asked to go up in the front line with the instructors of the Zumba dance moves. We then danced alongside them. I can\u2019t dance! I didn\u2019t want to do this at all but I did. This event was more than a fundraiser\u2026 it allowed for the peer ambassadors, like me and some others, to really push themselves out of a corner and get some more self-confidence. You can do anything, it doesn\u2019t matter how bad you may be at doing it as long as you have fun while doing it! If people hate you or make fun of then shame on them. If their form of \u201cfun\u201d involves bullying, then it isn\u2019t fun at all, it is cruel. After the event, I and the other peer ambassadors then bonded more that night by attending a movie together and some of us even attended two. GAB has brought us all together no matter what \u201cgroup\u201d or \u201cclick\u201d we\u2019re in, it doesn\u2019t matter anymore. We have fun together without any fear of hate or bullying and that\u2019s all that matters. That day was so much fun! I can\u2019t wait till our next Zumba event!<\/p>\n

This was a great event for us and the students at Catholic Memorial High School \u2013 Waukesha. The event allowed students to interact with GAB representatives, and other non-profit organizations, giving them the opportunity to volunteer for causes that interest them.<\/p>\n

GAB made an impact last year at this event, and Jennifer Denton, Service Coordinator for the annual Learning \u2013 Crusader Day invited us back for this encore visit in 2017. We look forward to visiting again in 2018!<\/p>\n

Generations Against Bullying moves ahead at the pace of our Peer Ambassadors and our Peer Ambassadors are rockin’.<\/p>\n

Our Student Peer Ambassadors organized productive meetings during the ’16-17′ school year which helped plan GAB events and continued their education. Meetings will resume at the beginning of the upcoming school year. Expect our Peer Ambassadors to exceed all expectations once again.<\/p>\n

I was searching for a purpose in my life. All my life, I have always helped others in any way that I could, but this organization makes me feel complete and proud. The feeling I receive on a daily basis knowing that I am making a difference on not just my life but others as well, leaves me feeling great.<\/p>\n

Being bullied my whole life and thinking back now, I wish GAB would have been around back in 2005 in my high school years.<\/p>\n

Bullying kills about 13 million kids a year and I can only imagine that this number would have been way less if there were more organizations like GAB. Life is so precious and a gift. That is why I believe we call it the present. We are never guaranteed tomorrow and I continue to be an Upstander to many children and young adult.<\/p>\n

Over 200 riders took part in Henderson\u2019s ride For Hope to benefit Generations Against Bullying (GAB). Riders left Coal Dock Park on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan in Port Washington, WI escorted by Packer Super Bowl Champs William Henderson and Dorsey Levens joined by former Green Bay Packer Tony Fisher.<\/p>\n

It’s been a great year in spreading the anti-bullying message. As GAB continues to ramp up its services and programs<\/a>, schools are becoming more inclined to take more focused action<\/a> in getting students involved.<\/p>\n

When my fianc\u00e9 started GAB, I saw her glow and feel like a revived person whose light was so bright and positive that I wanted to understand more about her passion. I was introduced to GAB and immediately fell in love. All I could think about is how they are constantly building people up and they also show people how beautiful they are inside and out. I then decided to partner up with GAB as being a Sponsor. I decided that I would use my hands and building techniques in some way beneficial for them. All of the lessons learned while she worked as a Peer Ambassador enabled her to go on to a challenging and successful journey at the University of Wisconsin Madison. She is a talented young person who now volunteers and gets involved with people and groups that are dedicated to the well- being of others. She has inner peace.<\/p>\n

Each year Greendale High School hosts a Co-Curricular Fair.<\/p>\n

The fair allows incoming 8th Graders to interact with faculty and students and gives them the opportunity to pre-register for sports, clubs, non-profits and more.<\/p>\n
