On March 23, 2018 Terri, owner of All American Window and Door, presented a check for $1000.00 to Generations Against Bullying\u2019s (GAB) Executive Director Linda Lee<\/a> during the WTMJ\u2019s We Love Wisconsin Tour, live at McBob\u2019s Pub and Grill in Milwaukee, WI. <\/p>\n Terri has been a great friend and wonderful supporter of GAB. WTMJ host John Mercure and co-host Melissa Barclay interviewed Linda about the bullying problem. Linda described how GAB\u2019s Peer Ambassador Upstander Program is the heart to \u201cchanging the culture of learning\u201d<\/em> in our schools. <\/p>\n Linda said, \u201cOur Peer Ambassador Program is centered on creating upstanders in schools. If a bystander to bullying, becomes and upstander in a non-threatening way, the bullying will stop within 10 seconds 85% of the time. Bullying doesn\u2019t occur in front of administrators, counselors or teachers, it occurs in front of the students, and they have the power to stop it. GAB\u2019s Upstander Program is a positive approach to such a negative subject\u201d<\/em>. <\/p>\n Accompanying Linda was our GAB Peer Ambassador from Manitowoc, WI, Luke Smith<\/a> and his mother Wendy. Luke described his history of being bullied and how his partnership with GAB has made a very, powerful, positive impact on his life and those around him. <\/p>\n
