GAB recently graciously accepted an invitation from the Greendale Community Theater (GCT) to be the official charity partner of their performance of Shrek The Musical.<\/p>\n
GCT stated that; “our charity partnership goal was to find worthwhile charity that has a mission that is somehow tied to the underlying theme of the show. The theme of Shrek made us want to find an organization that dealt with bullying and we are so glad we found Generations Against Bully<\/em>ing.”<\/p>\n In an effort to redefine \u201ccommunity\u201d theater in Milwaukee, it has become a GCT tradition to select a charity for \u201cpass the hat\u201d donations after each show. We have been doing this since 2009. On average a charity can expect to receive around $2,000 – $3,000. It really depends on the size of the audience.<\/p>\n GCT and its members are passionate about the arts. They are also proud to be at the leading edge of producing contemporary musical theatre and we encourage all our cast, crew and patrons to be responsible, active members of a strong community. They like to say that they are all about redefining \u201cCOMMUNITY\u201d<\/em> theater in a big way!<\/p>\n It truly is a win-win situation for all parties – we love teaming up with a charity to share in the great community we support.<\/p>\n The performance dates are July 19-22 and July 26-29. July 22 and July 29 are Sunday matinees.
