GAB & FRIENDS <\/span>VISIT A.E. BURDICK SCHOOL.<\/h2>\n

We had two great assemblies at A.E. Burdick School<\/a> on Wednesday (Oct 24)! <\/p>\n

Our first assembly was with the middle school students, who got to meet with and hear Mike Turner’s motivational life story about how he turned his life from that of a bullying victim, then a bully and gang leader, into a successful business owner and public speaker. Mike empowered them to become Upstanders, and Linda Lee did an exercise with them to help them focus on the good in their lives instead of the bad. Then, the primary students came in to hear Franki Moscato’s story and listen to her sing the songs she’s composed. What a powerful performance and we wish her success with her efforts to get on American Idol! <\/p>\n

The kids loved the Upstander message! We want to give a special thank you to Principal Theresa Russell and School Counselor Rachelle Nisleit for inviting Generations Against Bullying to Burdick to promote our Upstander message to the entire school.<\/p>\n
